Treading The Country Path: You can call it "folk", you can call it "country" or more simple the song of the common people . It can be West Virginia, California, Jharkhand or the hills of Assam and Manipur. Mountains, plains, villages, cities or suburbs. But the undercurrent is the same, same the social message – it is but one voice. The voice of the deprived, the downtrodden. It is the voice of everyday ups and downs, of happiness and pain, of love and dreams soured. And Ranjan Prasad sings it all. Heartfelt and full of magic.
